OSHA Updates

Previously, we had sent Safety Alerts concerning two OSHA updates.  We would like to, once again, bring these to your attention:

OSHA Notification Requirements – Effective 1/1/2015

Under certain circumstances, when an employee experiences a serious on the job injury OSHA must be notified immediately.

Confined Spaces for Construction – Effective 10/2/2015

Employers with construction workers who perform tasks in confined spaces, such a s manholes, crawl spaces, tanks, and other cramped areas, must ensure their compliance with this new standard. The standard has requirements for multiemployer worksites, permitting procedures, employee training, and other work practices needed to protect workers from the hazards found in confined spaces on construction sites.
